1941 Cochin interstate faint Green hundi receipt from Maharaja's Palace A.O. (Cochin) on 17 Thulam 1117, via Travancore transit station of Alwaye (19 Thulam) to Puthencruz (Travancore) on 20 Thulam.

Receipt returned from Puthencruz (21 Thulam) to Tripunuthara (22 Thulam).

Hundi marking seen @ Alwaye Anchal office.

'HUNDI" postmark seen in Vaikam markings.
Relayed down & up thru' Ernakulam & Alwaye (transit stations of each state).

 

1944 Cochin interstate faint Green hundi receipt from Ernakulam A.O. ( Cochin) on 14 Thulam 1120 via Travancore transit station of Alwaye (15 Thulam) to Perumbavur (Travancore) on 16 Thulam.

Receipt returned from Perumbavur to Ernakulam (23 Thulam).

Interesting unusual card with manuscript in Malayalam mentioning the year, month & day...and Pulinkuunu box...though the circular franking of Pulikunnu is seen faintly along with Mannanam.

Hundi Payment Receipts to the Remitter.

These hundi (money order) receipts are handed over to the sender, at the place of origin, once the Hundi form was duly filled and payments 's been done..

Year(M.E.) ..1086,1087,1088,1089,1116 & 1117 & 1122 (1910,1911,1912,1913,1940,1941 & 1946) ...different forms.

The receipts were seen printed in bilingual  (English & Malayalam) in the year..1910 onwards & in English only (1940 onwards)

Perhaps receipts in Malayalam only, might exist along with English from 1940 onwards.

 

Hundi Coupons...acknowledgement coupons

 Money Order (Hundi) acknowledgement coupons, where the sender writes a message to the payee in brief.
This tear off portion, will not bear any postmarks, but the amount to be received by the payee is notified.
