Travancore 1942 Provident Fund.. 'On S.S' Service card to M. T. School, Kottayam.


1942..Post card officially used from the State Provident Fund office, Trivandrum, addressed to a subscriber...teacher in M.T. School, Kottayam.. Postage...6 cash.










 

 

1896 Wrapper (1/2 chuckram) to Dewan of Cochin and 1901 Cash Six wrapper addressed to the British Resident.

 1896 Half Chuckram (8 cash) wrapper from Mannanam to Ernakulam, addressed to the Diwan of Cochin, P. Rajagopalachari (1896-1901).

1072 half chuckram wrapper from Mannanam (Dhanu 10) to Ernakulam (Dhanu 12) ... finding the recipient out of state, Wrapper was returned from Ernakulam (Dhanu 13) via Travancore transit point of Edapally (Dhanu 13) to Mannanam (Dhanu 14).


Manuscript by the postman mentioning that the Diwan has gone on circuit to Madras, and the wrapper is to be returned.. Sepoy Keshavan  1896 December 27, Ernakulam.




'ഇoതിൽ(ഇതിൽ) പറയുoന്ന (പറയുന്ന) സ്വാമി അവർകൾ സർക്കിട്ടു മദ്രാശിക്കു പൊയിരിക്കും ന്നൂ (പോയിരിക്കുന്നു) മടക്കി ശിപായി കെശവൻ (കേശവൻ) 1072 ധനു 13 ന് എറണാകുളം (ഒപ്പ്)'..

1901 Cash Six wrapper from Kottayam addressed to the British Resident of Travancore and Cochin (Mr Gordon Thomas Mackenzie), stationed at Trivandrum.

Four Cash potrait card.. Single line. Perforated..RARE.


Not more than 10 cards known to exist...one of those few Travancore postal stationary which falls under the 'Super RARE'.


1902  portrait of Maharajah Sri Mulam Thirunal Rama Varma..single line heading, with the colourless background, inside the portrait.


Below shown is 1904 used (Perf: 10 ) from Mannanam to Changnacherry.


2 types of this card... 

a) with perforation (rare)  and 

b) without perforation (common).


Perforated cards of this single line heading are much sought after.. reasons unknown..(probably printed in limited quantity and lasted for a few days).

This is the last double card usage in Travancore  Anchal postal history...

The unperforated cards were in use for a limited period, hardly less than a year. 



Perforated cards of Travancore lasted only 10 years..1892 to 1902 starting from Cash Eight to Cash Four.
