Four Cash potrait card.. Single line. Perforated..RARE.

Not more than 10 cards known to exist...one of those few Travancore postal stationary which falls under the 'Super RARE'.

1902  portrait of Maharajah Sri Mulam Thirunal Rama Varma..single line heading, with the colourless background, inside the portrait.

Below shown is 1904 used (Perf: 10 ) from Mannanam to Changnacherry.

2 types of this card...

a) with perforation (rare)  and

b) without perforation (common).

Perforated cards of this single line heading are much sought after.. reasons unknown..(probably printed in limited quantity and lasted for a few days).

This is the last double card usage in Travancore  Anchal postal history...

Perforated 10

Example of unperforated card & perforated Cash Four postcard.

The unperforated cards were in use for a limited period, hardly less than a year.

Perforated cards of Travancore lasted only 10 years..1892 to 1902 starting from Cash Eight to Cash Four.
