Wrappers..1896 - 1905. (2 Types of despatch cancel) .
Wrappers which was issued in 1896 were initially obliterated with numbered thick 'T'(തി) bar with Town number, which lasted till 1902.
From 1903 to 1905, circular dated stamps were used as despatch cancellation instead of 'T' (തി) despatch franking on wrappers.

a) Thick bar 'T'(തി) Town number franking (1896 - 1902).

b) Circular dated Town name despatch stamp (1903 - '05)
From Kottayam.. Kanni 2, 1081 (Sept 17, 1905)
