TRAVANCORE PALACE MINT REJECTS...ERRORS

TRAVANCORE copper coins which are mint rejects or defaced, due to, either during the different stages of checking out the new dies, or during the initial line of production of each copper mint coin. These were seen only after 1940's, where no stringent measures were taken by the authorities to minimise or reuse the faulty copper coins, unlike previous regimes.

Almost all of the reject coins, were never seen in worn out condition, but in immaculate condition.

Pictures taken from different musuems of Kerala.
