1894 8 CASH PERFORATED REGISTERED CARD

1894 Travancore Eight Cash perforated card from Padanayarkulangara (Thi-26..March 24) to Karunagapally ...delivery seal not seen, probably on the acknowledgement slip attached (1/2 chuckram stamp...also missing). This card was returned from Karunagapally to Padayanayarkulangara on 27 March.

'Cash Eight' registered cards are rarely seen. The registered charges are 2 chuckrams for the period...1889 -'90 to 1895-'96. The blue criss-crossed crayon markings has been done by the postmaster to denote the registeration, and to inform the delivery man, at the other end, of its importance.
Seen on the left is a manuscript ...14-8-69....done by the postmaster at Padanayarkulangara, along with signature.

"Thi" cancels are normally seen on envelopes, but not used on postcards, unless otherwise for registered stamped post cards (seen here), which is also very unlikely.
