Travancore 1946 A.D. Vaikam to Trivandrum...posted in wrong postbox.
One Chuckram BRV envelope wrongly posted in the British India post office from Vaikam ( hence postage due of 'TWO ANNAS....later to '3' Annas in manuscript written over TWO ANNAS ) & 'Refused' in manuscript by the postman, with an octagonal Trivandrum 'UNPAID' and returned to the sender in Vaikam.
1) BRV One Chuckram printed envelope addressed from Vaikam to PSC, Trivandrum posted in red British post box, instead of Travancore green post box.
2) Horse shoe shaped Vaikam British Postage Due cancel of Two Annas....or is it 3 Annas due from Vaikam itself?
3) Posted from Vaikam B.P.O. on 12 August 1946.
4) Octagonal 'UNPAID' Trivandrum cancel.....13 August.
5) Not accepted by the PSC office.....in manuscript by the Manager ......'Refused' on the face of the cover, along with name & date..14-8-46.
6) 'Refused' written by postmaster & dated 14/8/46... on the reverse of the envelope.
7) Envelope returned to Vaikam....19 Aug 46.
Wonder why in blue, it's written '5' on the face of the cover by the post official? Did they charge 5 Annas as postage due?
